Yun (Yunfeng Riley) Chen

Yun, my shorter name, translates to ‘the cloud.’

I love modern poetry and reading about ancient Sino-Japanese philosophy. It seems our sight and emotions can dwell within those words and extend further – sombreness, death, the anchored, the elder, prophet, silence, hours, the blissful, the lively, the restless, the ephemeral, flames, waves, sand, and salt; from one sequence to another, it just always continues. I’m also into exploring fine-art photography works, both the medium itself and the vast states of being it’s capable to convey, much like the form of visual poetry. I could find the same contemplation wandering through the works of Hermann Hesse, Kahlil Gibran, T. S. Eliot, Hai Zi, Bei Dao, Al Brydon, Albarran Cabrera, and Hiroshi Sugimoto.

I’m always grateful to have photography as a medium to express myself, to spend my days with.
