The deceased tree starts to extend for the sky,

Echo Wall, Temple of Heaven
2021, Beijing
Note on This Plate:
The Heaven Temple once served as
the hallowed ground where emperors offered their prayers.
When an emperor stood in solitude
beside the resounding echo wall,
it reverberated their pleas and whispers
like ethereal messages from distant heavens.
Today standing in the same place,
the faded light of the sky
may still carry echoes from half a millennium ago.
